Edit a Rebar Run ( Drawing Editor )

Tool summary :

  • Lets you edit one or multiple rebar runs that you select. Selection filtering is built in.
  • While Edit a Rebar Run can be used to edit one rebar run at a time, the tool is more commonly used for multi-editing. The preferred way to edit a single rebar run is to double-click it while ' Default ' is selected as the selection filter.
  • If you preselect multiple types of objects, Edit a Rebar Run will edit only those objects that are rebar runs. The other objects will remain selected. Click here for an example. Preselection is done in Select Items mode. Here are the steps:

    Select Items bindings (for preselection)

    1. Draw an area box or hold down the Shift key and left-click ( Select+ ) several objects of the same type or of different types.
    2. Invoke Edit a Rebar Run .
    3. The 2D Rebar Run edit window opens.
  • In-tool selection takes place when you invoke Edit a Rebar Run with nothing selected or with object types other than rebar runs selected. The tool brings up Select Item(s) mouse bindings, and the status line prompts you to select rebar runs. Here are the steps:

    1. Invoke Edit a Rebar Run .

      Select Item(s) bindings (for in-tool selection)
    2. Select one or more objects. Built-in selection filtering restricts you to selecting rebar runs. Press the Enter key when you are done selecting the objects.
    3. The 2D Rebar Run edit window opens.
  • To invoke Edit a Rebar Run :

    Method 1 : Click the Edit a Rebar Run icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Rebar Runs ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

    Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Rebar Runs > Edit .

    Method 3, 4 or 5 : Edit a Rebar Run can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
